As member of the West Akron Kiwanis, we read every week with the 1st graders at Portage CLC (elementary school but Akron now referred to them as Community Learning Centers). I served 3 terms as president and currently the secretary.

I chair the annual Flapjacks and Flowers event at our church, a fund raiser for local performing arts (music and dance).

I also volunteer every month at the Akron-Canton Regional Food bank distribution days. I have a cushy job of passing out information on what’s in the basket this month and sample recipes on how to cook some of the items.
